Party people were left hanging after authorities closed Jose Chameleone’s Kololo based night hangout, DNA Lounge.

For the three months the hangout has been in business, it has been one of the most happening night spots, and has placed a lot of competition to many clubs and bars located within it’s vicinity.

A statement from DNA Lounge management, claimed that they are still doing some clearances with the authorities, but will re-open soon.

The closure of the bar happened just an hour ahead of AK 47’s tribute party that was slated to happen on Thursday, March 14.

Revellers were set to join the Mayanjas in celebration of the life, of fallen dancehall artiste Emmanuel Mayanja alias AK 47, who died on March 16, 2015 at a Kabalagala based De Posh bar. He was popular for songs such as Champion, Tukikolemu, Ebaluwa among others.

However, after the closure of the facility, the tribute party was also postponed to a date that will soon be communicated.

“We regret to inform our esteemed customers that our earlier anticipated AKAY 47 night at DNA tonight will not take place due to circumstances beyond our control.  Our three months of operations have been put to a halt by unfinished Authority clearance which we are dedicated to accomplishing as soon as possible. DNA Lounge is dedicated to serve and intends to continue valuing your support. A later date will be communicated on when to hold the event,” reads the statement.

Let’s hope it’s not one those premature deaths.
