It was time for drinking and feasting as city tycoon Sam Buchanan served a Luwero based Kalasa united football club as a way of congratulating them for having joined a higher level of the FUFA mini league.
The function that was held at his home in Muyenga attracted football legends from the diaspora like Junju Moses as well as a live band where musicians like Red Banton,Ragga Dee played soothing music that left everyone appreciating the talent.
In his speech to the club Buchanan thanked the team for not letting him down. On this note he appreciated the whole team with USD400 and advised them to play tirelessly in order to make their dreams come true.
Buchanan also appreciated team goalie and best player Sebugenyi Fred for displaying such good talents.
“I am so happy for these two. The goalkeeper who kept our goal safe and the striker who scored most of the goals.” Noted Buchanan.
Buchanan also told the team that he has shipped over 300kg of luggage including training kits,jerseys,playing boots, balls,corns and many more to boost up the team.
The technical manager of the team as well as a referee Mr Bamugye Fred thanked Buchanan for the love and support that he has given to the team. On this note,he promised that Kalasa united would not let him down.
Early last year a small village team Kalasa was helped by Buchanan to register in the FUFA 4th division league and in the first round, Kalasa managed to play 12 games and came up with 5 wins,3 draws and 4 losses which resulted into 18 points.
In the second round, the boys played tirelessly and out of the 12 games,they managed to win 9 games and make 3 draws which resulted into 30 points in the second round, finishing second on the table with 48 points
