The family and friends of Ivan Semwanga would like to appreciate the positive messages we have received in person and read on social media. Messages from politicians, entertainers and common men alike have reminded us that Ivan was indeed a shining star. We thank you for this outpouring of love and support in these dark days.
We have also received and read some negative messages. While we choose not to address these directly, we ask the sources of these messages to take a moment and reach within their hearts for some human conscience and respect for the departed. Not because he is Ivan Semwanga but because he is another human being who has departed and atleast until he is peacefully laid to rest, respect should be shown for loss for life to his family, friends and general well wishers.
Ivan’s body is still in The Republic of South Africa awaiting his final return home to Uganda. To our family, friends, business associates and Ugandan community in South Africa, we will have a memorial church service at;
St. Micheal & Angels Church, Corner of Leyds & Kotze (Opposite Sunnyside Police Station) at 3pm on Saturday 27th May 2017.
RSVP – 0736799276
Ivan Semwanga’s body shall make the final return home to Uganda on Sunday 28th May 2017 and the body shall proceed to Ivan’s residence in Muyenga. He shall finally be laid to rest in Kayunga, Bugerere on Tuesday 30th May 2017.
Personally, I thank you once again for your kind words, prayers and will continue to update you.
#RIPIvan
Yours truly,
King Lawrence.
