Singer Eddy Kenzo must be up on the moon after being named Kenyan Tourism Ambassador to Uganda and the rest of the region by the Kenya Tourism Board (KTB).
This followed a partnership between the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) with the KTB and Kenya Airways where they entered into an agreement to promote regional domestic tourism under the ambit of the East Africa Tourism Platform.
According to KTB CEO, Betty Radier, Eddy Kenzo was selected because of his huge following not only in Uganda but in east Africa and beyond.
“We want to use music, culture and the arts to promote the diversity of our region and we are aware that Kenzo being a popular artist has a good following in social media and beyond making him a good channel of passing on the message of diversity and beautiful destinations available in Kenya and East Africa as a whole” said Betty.
