Uganda Revenue Authority has given a closure notice to a Kampala based transport and logistics support company, Three Ways Shipping Services limited, for not compliance.

Sources inside URA intimated to this website that Three Ways Shipping Services limited located on Plot 87 Jinja Road has not remitted its tax obligation and the amount is so exorbitant that the owners of the company cannot pay it.
The tax body has therefore given an ultimatum to the logistics company to pay up or face closure.

However Three Ways Shipping Services limited bosses have been pleading that business has not been good, and begged for lenience. However URA insists that it is an obligation of every responsible organization or individual to pay their taxes. Three Ways Shipping Services limited has been defaulting for long and URA has lost its patience.
The tax body dragged Three Ways Shipping Services to court and a High court judge David Wangutusi ruled that the company pays all its debts or face closure.

This website understands that Mr Oscar Baitwa, the director of the company, is seeking solutions on how to save the company from closure including running advertorials in newspapers to reassure stakeholders in the matter that soon the situation will be back to normal as soon as the oil business gets back on its feet.
