Singer Alexander Bagonza aka A Pass has blamed his failing music career on fellow musicians and Ugandans who has refused to appreciate his talent.
Frustrated on why he is still under rated yet spends sleepless nights in the studio recording ‘good music’, A Pass now plans to relocate to United Kingdom (UK) or United States of America (USA), where he hopes to find people who will appreciate his music.
“Thinking about retiring my music career in Uganda and start off somewhere else as a new artiste, maybe in the UK or America,” reads part of A Pass’s social media post on Sunday.
The Guli wano singer also noted that it’s clear to him that most Ugandans want artistes who jump a lot on stage, thus sidelining him because he isn’t that kind.
“Ugandans are not ready for good music, they want jokes and people who jump up and down on stage not musicians with art and lyrical skills,” he noted.
When he succeeds in leaving the country, A Pass will join the likes of rapper Ernest Nsimbi aka GNL Zamba, Ganda Boys among others, who are doing well ‘musically’ in USA.
For those who didn’t know that Zamba is still the ‘Greatness with No Limits’, the singer recently told his nagging social media fans that shallow minded people can’t understand his latest projects, but intelligent ones do.
“I stopped singing things that only shallow minds appreciate. The people with refined taste get my album. Home and away! If you haven’t heard I won another international award last week representing Uganda,” he said recently.
