A long awaited online entertainment platform, FlixUganda has been launched to stream Ugandan content on your computers and other digital devices.
FlixUganda.com is first of its kind in the country, a one stop spot for Ugandan movies, music, comedy and funny videos.
According to Go Digital Uganda ltd CEO Mike Ssegawa, the entertainment portal strictly showcases Ugandan local content with a main aim of giving viewers a Ugandan feel.
“It has been difficult to get Ugandan content in one place, and so was for Ugandan creative minds, they have few places to showcase their works. FlixUganda selects the best and update entertainment by Ugandans. It is time to show Uganda to the world.
Mr Ssegawa says Uganda has great talents making films but are constrained with showcasing their talents as televisions and cinemas are out of reach from them.
“FlixUganda is an alternative,” he said.
“We shall be working with Ugandan video content producers and creators to bring you the best entertaining content from this country,” Ssegawa added.
Ssegawa, a Ugandan journalist who has worked with Ugandan film makers as a script writer is also founder of digital news platform www.jobs.monitor.co.ug/watch. He says FlixUganda.com entertainment platform is family friendly with content you can watch with your family in a sitting room and enjoy to the fullest.
Ison Rocky, the head of digital products at Go Digital Uganda Ltd assured followers that soon the company is also going to create an app for flixUganda for easy accessibility.
