Uganda Police’s national political commissar AIGP Asan Kasingye has on Friday visited the National Leadership Institute (NALI) in Kyankwanzi days after his boss IGP Gen. Kale Kayihura instructing him to build a political science school for police.
After replacing Kasingye with Emilian Kayima as the force’s spokesperson on Tuesday, Gen Kayihura revealed he delinked the office of the police spokesperson from the political commissariat thus tasking Kasingye to build a political Education School for police which will enable in improving the ideological quality of police officers.
“CPC to propose an urgent programme of political education for the units and setting up of a police education school of political education which must begin, however modestly this financial year,” he said adding that UPDF CPC and Brigadier Matsiko as well as National Leadership Institute Kyankwanzi should be of help.
Like any other obedient servant, Kasingye today rushed to Kyankwanzi to meet Brig. Gen Kasura, the Director of NALI to seek assistance on how to accomplish his task.
Kasingye tweeted, “Today, had a very fruitful meeting with Brig. Gen. Kasura, Director NALI, about the relevancy of Political Education in the Police,”
