City socialite identified as Ivan Ngobi aka Vegas was on Sunday morning discovered dead after allegedly setting himself on fire.
The incident happened in Lyamutunde village, Mpala zone in Katabi Town Council,Entebbe.
According to sources, the 23 year old set himself ablaze on Saturday under unclear circumstances.
The deceased has been a known city socialite and Vegas Events K’la Ug Boss as well as Blue Party events organizer.
Apparently, Ngobi was set to graduate at Nkumba University where he has been studying over the past three years. Ngobi’s neighbours have revealed that they heard him making loud hysterical noises at night but could not imagine such a tragedy.
The deceased’s burnt body was discovered Sunday morning and was later taken to Mulago Hospital for a postmortem.
The OC Mpala Police Post, Joseph Sekitoleko revealed that may be Ngobi’s life would have saved had they (neighbours) acted immediately the heard the screams.
He has also been a Nkumba University finalist awaiting graduation.
