After IAAF world cross championships, delegates opt to tour Uganda

On Sunday it was pomp and glamour as the IAAF World Cross Country Championships took place at Kololo Independence Grounds.

Athletes from more than 100 countries took part in the event and best of all Uganda managed to scoop a gold medal courtesy of a 16 year old Jacob Kiplimo who won the U20 race.

Immediately after the event, delegates from various nations including IAAF President Sebastian Coe opted to tour Uganda to have a vast experience about the pearl of Africa.

They toured the Nile in Jinja, Ngamba Island among others.
