The highly anticipated Tourism Excellence Awards took place at Sheraton Hotel’s Rwenzori Ballroom on Sunday evening and it was organized by the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB).
The Awarding ceremony was the climax of the three day Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo 2017(POATE2017) which kick started on Friday at Kampala Sheraton Hotel Gardens (Jubilee Gardens) with over 200 tourism, tour and travel; and education businesses from Uganda, East Africa and international participating.
The chief guest of at the event was vice president Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi who was in company of State Minister for Tourism Godfrey Kiwanda Ssuubi.
Roger Mugisha was the MC of the night while Afrigo Band entertained guests with Ugandan but world class music.
