Minister Kiwanda to launch the 2017 Equator Tourism Expo

The minister for tourism Godfrey Kiwanda is to launch the Equator tourism expo tomorrow on Tuesday at the Uganda Media Center.
The expo that is organized by Think tank target ltd shall attract nationals from various parts of the country as well as the world at large.

According to Mr. Sekabira Andrew, The Think tank target public relations officer, the expo shall begin on the 19th of March with a bicycle race flag off at Mengo ring road, a programme that shall be conducted by Mr. Matovu Daniel Mutambuze from the said company.

At Kayabwe, where the equator lies, there shall be exhibitors from various parts of the world who shall showcase the world about the customs and norms through Music, dance and drummer from the pearl of Africa as well as globally.

The expo shall last for one full week where each day shall be having a different activity that shall prove to the world that Uganda is indeed the pearl of Africa.

Mr. Mutambuze says that there are so many ways that Uganda can benefit from the tourism sector but all can come to an accomplishment after all citizens standing up today to boost the sector. He adds that many neighboring countries like Kenya use the advantages that would have been for Uganda by bringing tourists here in the country who don’t even pay any fee for the equator view, but take photos to go and make millions of money.

“Am sad that the money that would have been for Uganda is taken by foreigners “says Mutambuze.

It is on this note that he called upon all Ugandans to come and show case their products at the equator tourism expo 2017.
