Hon. Major General Gregory Mugisha Muntu, in the eyes of the public, an election was undertaken in FDC. The delegates decided as they did. The challenges you met in your term of office are appreciated.
The current consultations you are making are wrong. Mathematically FDC alone cannot win an election for the Presidency in Uganda. So, logically, if you start another party, it will not make logic in our efforts to see succession from President Museveni. All that your party may manage is to solicit for support from donors and not being anywhere near getting power.
Mr. Mugisha, the way to go is to get together the opposition as an entity. We have the challenge whether to go for the Referundum or not as a joint opposition. You appreciate that it is possible to win a Presidential election if the opposition is joint that way, it is easy to supervise the voting, make tallies throughout the country and have at least 99.5% of all the results declaration forms from all polling centres.
So, Mr. Mugisha put your effort where it yields highest, that is in putting effort in a United opposition. Short of that, you will be part of the effort sabotaging prospects of getting peaceful change of power in Uganda.
