Apart from consolidating NRM Support in Northern Region and preparing Norbert Mao as MP Gulu and more bigger assignments in 2027, the whole hidden agenda of General Museveni is to anhilate Robert Kyagulanyi and his National Unity Platform and weaken it in Buganda.

This is the best strategy adopted by GENERAL Museveni to weaken NUP.

The appointment of Mao as minister was calculated by GENERAL Museveni to kick out Mao from mainstream DP and maintain him in a kangaroo DP Faction to perpetrate political wars and intrigue.Truth is DP is going to be a bit powerful and in 2026, it will get more MPs.

MAO leaving doesn’t affect DP at all but DP will loose it’s small support it had in Acholi.

Mao joining NRM is well calculated by the state and the whole Agenda is to fight BOBI WINE and NUP in Buganda Region.

DP will get a Muganda President who will stage resistance against Museveni but in 2026 presidential election, Gen Museveni will fund him and he will take NUP Votes from Buganda.

MAO had no capacity to use DP to fight BOBI WINE or divide NUP Support in Buganda.Mao was never trusted by Baganda politicians and Baganda extremists who consider DP a baganda party with hidden mission of promoting Buganda Nationalism.

The new DP Leadership will be purely baganda and they will do everything to reclaim DP Popularity in Buganda hence a blow to NUP and it’s principal. This is what Gen Museveni want and he will fund the new DP with billions.

Note that Mao will not give up as DP President and this is what Gen Museveni wants. So the baganda faction will go to court but the judiciary will never rule against Mao to handover Power .

So MAO will remain a DP President not Recognised by DP Baganda faction..

Gen Museveni will fund Mao faction and at the same time he will secretly fund the baganda DP Faction to fight BOBI WINE and NUP.Most NUP MPs in Buganda are likely to loose in 2026.The new DP Leadership will promote Buganda Nationalism and it will be more linked to Buganda monarchy..

Museveni is nolonger interested in Norbert Mao but he is now interested in the New DP Faction dominated by Baganda…That is the radical group he will secretly fund to fight BOBI WINE and his NUP.

I Predict DP will get many MPs in 2026 and NUP will find it hard to get 50 MPs in 2026.

Museveni is truly a smart politician. He once said that he is still a member of DP.

It’s only Museveni who can choose a DP PRESIDENT.The next DP President will be appointed by Museveni but people will never know.

Museveni is already identifying Radical Baganda to capture DP Presidential Office.

Expect political battles btn baganda from greater Masaka and baganda from greater Mukono. They will fight for the presidency of DP.

Richard Sebamala is from Greater Masaka and Lulume Bayiga is from Greater Mukono, but also there is a group of Brenda Nabukenya, People like Fred Mukasa Mbidde, etc but not forgetting that many DP Extremists are in NUP such as Hon Medard Ssegona,Hon Betty Nambooze, Rt Hon Mathias Mpuuga, etc.

One former minister from ssembabule will also fund another DP Faction.
If Norbert Mao had remained as DP President, NUP was to get over 150 mps in 2026 from allover Ugandà.

Today with MAO out , and DP set to get a Muganda Leader, this marks the end of the dominance of National unity Platform in Buganda.

I want to confirm that Museveni is the smartest politician of the 21st century in Uganda.

DP Lost support because it had MAO as it’s president. Baganda will never trust a leader from northern Uganda.Baganda generally don’t trust northerners. They think every Northerner is related to Amin Dada and Milton Obote.DP is generally a tribal party.

It is now going to be a real battle between DP and NUP,and I predict NUP is likely to lose if NUP Leaders remain committed to their old strategy.

I also predict that top baganda MPs you see in NUP today, will cross back to DP and some will choose to run for DP Leadership.

Bobi Wine rose because Buganda had no political leadership ,but by 2026, baganda will have a political leader who will be a DP President and DP will get lots of money from Gen.Museveni not to join NUP.

This is my thinking.
