Musician turned politician Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine together with his People Power colleagues have been released.
Bobi Wine and colleagues were released on Monday night.
“Good evening comrades! As usual, these cowards have released us in the deep of the night. These illegal injustices only make us stronger, but most importantly reveal to us how scared the regime is of WE THE PEOPLE. Stronger. THANK YOU ALL FOR STANDING. Aluta continua,” the Kyadondo East legislator posted on his social media yesterday.
Bobi Wine and some People Power leaders were on January 6, 2020 arrested and detained at Kasangati Police Station before being transferred to Naggalama Police station. His planned consultative meeting was also blocked.
The foiled meeting that was supposed to take place at Our Lady of Good Counsel Gayaza, Catholic Parish had been authorized by the Electoral Commission. It was the first of several planned by Bobi Wine as a way of consulting his supporters about his presidential bid.
