President Museveni has contributed Shs120m towards the Quinn Abenakyo Foundation.
Abenakyo is a former Miss Uganda title holder who represented Uganda at Miss World 2018 in China and was crowned Miss World Africa 2018.
At the function on Monday launched at Sheraton Kampala Hotel under the theme, ‘No to Motherhood in Childhood,’ President Museveni said, ‘All Ugandans should support me to render formal education completely free, End teenage pregnancies and child early marriages which are exacerbated by endless school charges, at the behest of PTAs. Personally, I am happy to associate with a focused youth such as Quiin Abenakyo
The foundation focuses on addressing issues on child marriages and teenage pregnancy through providing holistic interventions that strive to meet the needs of vulnerable adolescent girls.
Also present were Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Rebecca Kadaga ,Nabagereka Sylvia Nagginda Luswata and Hon Cecilia Atim Ogwal.
