Boda boba rider cut to death in his sleep

Police in Rukungiri district is holding two people to help in investigating the murder of a boda boda rider. The deceased’s cut body was found in his bed.

The deceased has been identified as Gerald Tumwesigye, aged 24, a resident of Rutoma B village, Ibanda Parish, Nyarushaje Sub County in Rukungiri district.

According to the deceased’s mother Stella Tumusiime, the body was discovered on Wednesday morning with deep cuts in the head and arms. She immeidately informed neighbors.

The Kigezi Region Police spokesperson Elly Maate confirmed the incident saying that police was notified by the Ibanda Local council II chairperson Fred Kagyenzi and immediately rushed to scene.

He adds that they are now looking for the deceased’s motor cycle as the two arrested will help in the investigations. He condemns the acts of people who taking laws into their own hands.
