The Territorial Police in Ngoma, Nakaseke District, has in custody a suspect who hacked to death a mother and her two sons, aged 13 and 3, using an axe.
The incident which occurred on the night of 6/09/2019, was reported by Nakaye Teddy, a 52 year old peasant.
According to Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga, the suspect Kimeze Festo, a 35 year old, charcoal burner, was cohabiting with Namukisa Pauline, a 40 year old female adult, who came with her two sons, Kizza Robert,13 and Kato Bob, 2.
They had stayed together for the last 6 months as a family.
“The suspect admits to hacking the three to death, after failed attempts to recover his saw machine, which he suspected was stolen by his lover and her two sons.Upon arrest he led detectives to where the axe was hidden and it was recovered,” said Enanga.
The bodies of the three victims were subjected to post mortem examination and handed over to the relatives for burial.
The police mouthpiece further stated that the suspect was charged to court on Monday September 16, 2019.
