Joseph Kabuleta  is expected to appear before the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) in Kireka on Thursday morning, barely 48 hours after he regained freedom.

Kabuleta, a former sports journalist and pastor of Watchman Ministries was arrested on Friday last week by plain clothed detectives from Drew and Jacs in Lugogo Forest Mall and bundled into a Toyota Wish Motor vehicle registration number UBB 459D.

He is accused of posting an offensive message through “Kabuleta’s Weekly Rants” on Facebook in which he allegedly referred to President Yoweri Museveni as a gambler, thief and liar.

He was only released on Tuesday.

According to his lawyer Daniel Walyemera, the outspoken government critic’s constitutional rights have been violated since he was denied access to his lawyers, next of kin and doctor.

On Wednesday, Walyemera released a statement to say Kabuleta is required to appear before SIU to have his bond extended.

Godwin Muhwezi Matsiko, who was arrested alongside Kabuleta will appear before the same security agency on Monday, July 22.
