Patrick Ssenyonjo famously known as Fresh Kid has officially joined Kampala Parents School (KPS) on scholarship from the Ruparelia Foundation.

Clad in KPS uniform, the young rapper was on Thursday morning joined by his parents at the school premises as the foundation effected its scholarship through signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The MoU was signed in the presence of Education Ministry officials, other artistes and music promoters.

Speaking during the signing of MoU, the school director Daphine Kato said, “No one has forced Fresh Kid’s parents to sign this MoU hence they should obey and abide by the conditions that have been set to ensure that the boy is at school on a regular basis.”

His parents and manager were given tips on how to keep the ‘bambi’ singer in school since too much praising might lead to his down fall. They were also urged to ensure that he goes to school every day.

An official from ministry of education has been assigned to monitor his attendance and performance at school.

At the same event, Naiya Ruparelia said hey will nurture Fresh Kid’s musical talent as well as help him in acquiring basic education.

Last month, Fresh Kid was offered a full scholarship to study at KPS.

Rajiv Ruparelia, the group’s managing director made the announcement after meeting the rapper at his office in Kampala.

“I was moved by his ambition being only seven years old. I would love to see him become a guide and inspiration to many young people out there hence, Ruparelia Foundation is presenting this young man with a full scholarship from the Ruparelia Foundation to go to Kampala Parents School,” Rajiv said.
