The opinion on Gravity Omutujju’s shooting would not be over until controversial Dembe FM’s celebrity gossip king Isaac Katende aka Kasuku said something. And he did so on Monday morning.

Kasuku teared Gravity Omutujju into pieces before viewers and listeners of Spark TV and Dembe FM respectively on Monday morning, saying if the singer was shot at all, it was by a “toy gun”.

Kasuku who the music business he has a ‘big mouth’ explained that Ugandan celebrities are fond of fooling the country, and Gravity’s was one of the pranks celebrities pull to remain relevant.

The Luga flow rapper whose real name is Gibson Wabuyu was last week reportedly shot at a petrol station in Mityana town. He was due to perform in Kasanda.

Several more people have come out to challenge the Gravity narrative as fake.

Given the nature of wounds, and publicity Gravity milked from the incident, it looked as if he was looking for something to help him make headlines. From photos he posed for after the incident, the blood less plasters on the wounds, several people have come out to call the incident a stunt.

Watchdog Uganda reporter spoke to a member within Omutujju’s camp, who revealed that the ‘Mbuzi Zakutudde’ singer wasn’t shot, but sustained very minor injuries.

“It’s true there was a shoot out and Omutujju is not staging a stunt, but I think when the security guard shot (at) Omutujju’s car, some glass fragments from the window pierced his abdomen thus causing the small wounds. I saw him but the wounds don’t seem to be of bullets” source revealed.

He claimed that for someone who has never been involved in a shootout, it’s very easy to get shocked and arrive at any conclusions.

“We see people judging Omutujju, but just know he was in real shock, and seeing blood on his abdomen after the shootout made him think that he was shot. But we thank God he is better and was discharged from the hospital” he said.

Gravity got involved in this scuffle at LK Fueling station in Kassanda where Omutujju and his crew had packed awaiting for further directions from a one Sendagire who was hosting them for a show.

A security guard identified as Amos Muhewa by the police didn’t like the idea of seeing them packed at the fuel station. He later went into an argument with the musician’s team before he fired bullets on the ground.

He was rushed to Lubaga Hospital for treatment in an ambulance courtesy of Mityana Municipality Legislator Francis Zaake.
