Police in Kisoro District is investigating circumstances under which a 15-year-old boy murdered his brother aged 18.
It’s alleged that the unfortunate incident occurred on Tuesday at around 8.30pm while at Kirambo village Busengo parish, Nyarubuye Sub-county, Kisoro District at the home of Hakiza.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi region Police spokesperson, while speaking to Watchdog Uganda, said the two brothers picked a quarrel. One identified as Urban Twizerimana U 15 hit his elder brother Vincent Ndagizimana, 18, with a stick on the head and died instantly.
Maate said the suspect disappeared after the incident.
“He is on run,” Matte said.
The scene of crime was visited by OC CID, Sooko and CID staff while a postmortem was done at Kisoro Hospital.
This case has been registered at Kisoro Police under file number SD 05/28/11/2018.
