Minister Baryomunsi urges Ugandans to be tolerant and united

The State Minister for Housing, Land and Urban Development has challenged Ugandans to enhance unity and tolerance as one of the core principles of ruling government in order to accelerate sanity in their communities.

Dr Chris Baryomunsi, who is also Kinkizi East Member of Parliament said that politicians as well as communities should not take multi party dispensation as enmity instead work together regardless of one’s political, religion and tribe affiliation.

He made the remarks  while presiding over the fundraising function  for the completion of St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Itojo and priests’ house in Itojo sub county Ruhaama county Ntungamo district.

Dr. Baryomunsi contributed over Shs4m.

Leading the fundraising mass, Monsignor Pascal Betunga the Bushenyi Episcopal vicar asked believers to exhibit the spirit of love, forgiveness appealing to the people of God use  the power and authority diligently to serve all believers without discrimination as Christ the King did.

The Ntungamo municipality Member of Parliament Hon Gerald Karuhanga asked leaders to embrace political diversity and help each other developing their constituencies saying that politics should only stop at the floor of parliament.

The Ntungamo woman MP Hon Beatrice Rwakimaari who was chief mobiliser commended Christians for cooperation which has enabled the fundraising to be successful.

The host priest Rev Fr Bruno Kaharuza hailed all Christians for turning up in big numbers and contribute voluntarily and assured them to complete the church before this years’ Christmas.

 Kajara county MP Hon Timuzigu Michael Kamugisha, Ruhaama county MP Hon Moses Kahima Mugabe , Rubabo county MP Hon Mary Paula Turyahikayo  and city business man Beyendeza Edward Bekunda attended the function while several others sent contribution to the fundraising.

Shs 37M was raised.
