One is going to be spoilt for entertainment choice during this long and busy Independence Day weekend.
Today, October 05: ‘Omusekera Nyuma’ featuring Dr. T, a comedian popularly known for mimicking Tamale Mirundi will be held at Theatre Labonita. This show will also feature top Ugandan comedians and musicians like B2C, Spice Diana, and Dax Kartel.
October 6: Serena Johnnie Walker Golf Open Championship. Lake Victoria Serena Resort golf course will host their first 18-hole competition. Come join other golfers and lovers of sport for a day of enjoyment.
Saturday, Oct 6: Busiika Fest out. This picnic-like show at Busiika Adventure Park in Mukono will feature games such as swimming, paint ball, beer challenge, bicycle race.
October 8: Club Concert. Club Pilsner will host the ‘Club Concert’ at Kampala at Sheraton Hotel featuring Major Lazer, an American based superstar group. Local artistes such as Sheeba will also entertain revelers.
October 8. Africa Laughs Season 4: Comedian Salvado Idringi will for the fourth time host the several comedians from across the country in a night of comedy. Come laugh at the jokes of comedians Basket Mouth, Mariachi, Mad Rat and Chico, Eddie Kadi, Kevin J. Venue is Serena Kampala Hotel.
October 8: Strings of my soul concert. National Theatre is the venue for Kenneth Mugabi’s first solo live concert. Regarded as one of the best vocalists in the country, Mugabi is popular for his songs like Naki, Kibuno omu among others.
October 11: Uganda International Trade Fair (UGITF). You still have time to head to the UMA Showground for this years edition of the Uganda International Trade Fair. It is not only about shopping but for fun too.
