On Thursday morning, an explosion occurred at Mother Care Bright school Maganjo in Primary seven class room .

Two Pupils identified as Igembe Ashraf 13 years and Namakula Ronitah 13 years were confirmed injured and rushed to Mulago hospital for treatment.

According to Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Luke Oweyesigyire, the boy’s hand was shattered as a result of the explosion and the girls eye was slightly injured.

He says the cause was as a result of playing with un identified item which is yet to be established by police experts from Bomb squad .

“We have also established that the un identified object was brought into the school by kasoozi Abdul 12 years, also a pupil after he picked it yesterday on his way home the later carried it to school today,” said Owoyesigyire.

“The experts have picked the fragments for further analysis and investigation, more details will be availed soon,” he added.
