On Thursday, the Military Police allowed the Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Shaban Ramathan Mubajje to visit former Boda Boda 2010 leader Abdallah Kitatta who is currently detained at Makindye Military barracks.
It should be remembered that Sheikh Mubajje was denied access to Kitatta a day before.
While addressing a congregation during Juma prayers on Friday at Old Kampala Mosque, the Mufti said after the Wednesday incident, the military police leadership realized their mistake and allowed him and his delegation to meet Kitata .
“They apologized and gave us full access, and we are very grateful” the Mufti said.
Meanwhile, Mubajje also visited The luzira Upper Prison, Condemn section, Marchisons Bay, Women section and in this exercise he listened to the prisoners’ concerns and was able to meet Sheikh Kamoga, Sheikh Mwanje and other inmates.
The Mufti assured them that all their concerns will be addressed.
