Police in Kabale district have in detention a 27 years old man in custody alleged to have defiled a 14 yeas old school girl.
The arrested identified as Robertson Nasasira of Kanyakiriro cell Nyabikoni ward, Central division Kabale municipality allegedly defiled the victim on the 04/07/18 in the evening hours at Kacwekano around lake Bunyonyi.
It’s alleged that on the fateful day, the suspect together with another man still at large while driving his RAV 4 registration number UAP 605P blue in colour met the victim from school at Kabale Secondary School and opted to give her a lift to her place in Nyakabungo cell, Katokye parish, Kyanamira subcounty Kabale district, instead they diverted towards Lake Bunyonyi.
According to reports, this girl was tied on her face with a piece of cloth and both of them raped her, including the arrested Mr Nasasira .
After raping her, she was abandoned but a boda boda cyclist found her and took her to police where she registered the case. Fortunately, she had seen and identified them.
According to the Kigezi region Police spokesperson Elly maate, the suspect Was arrested with his very car which is also at Kabale police station and inquiries underway.
This case has been registered at Kabale police station under file number CRB 1513/2018.
