Nine clubs have confirmed their participation in the forthcoming Inter-club swimming championship.
This was revealed by the president of Uganda Swimming Federation (USF) Donald Rukare in a press conference that was held at the Uganda Olympics Comittee in Lugogo.
Rukare highlighted that the tournament shall be a Kampala international school and they are set to follow standard rules.
“We have put entry standards for various events as well as entry time which shall enable maximize standards” Noted Rukare.
He added that its going to be a good tournament which will give swimmers experience that shall put them at better standards.
The tournament Manager Mr Eric Kisero said that they shall have a technical meeting for the team managers which shall enable them to sort out a few issues that have not yet been resolved.
Some of the confirmed clubs include Altona,Dolphins,Kampala aquatic, Silverfin,Gliders and many more.
Over 350 swimmers shall participate in the tournament and according to the head of competition fines have been put for teams that shall pull out. This is due to the fact that the federation has ensured the protection of swimmers standards.
He also clarified that they are hurt for the defending championships Go seals not participating due to the fact that they were not set for the competition.
