Army Court remands Kitatta, 11 others to Luzira Prison

Boda Boda 2010 Patron Abdallah Kitatta and 11 others have on Tuesday  been remanded to Luzira Prison by the Army Court Martial.

These appeared before the 9 –member panel at the Makindye based General Court Martial over charges of unlawfully possession of government stores and failure to protect war materials.

Kitatta and the co-accused objected to be tried before military court since they are civilians.

“I have heard the offence but I am not ready  to be charged in this court because I am not a soldier but a civilian, “Kitatta told court chaired by Lt.Gen.Andrew Guti.

Lt Gen Gutti has ordered the suspects to return to court on 27 February, 2018.
