It seems all is not well for Vision Group Chief Executive Officer Robert Kabushenga since he is likely to lose his job anytime from now.
Exclusive information reaching our news desk indicates that Operation Wealth Creation boss Gen Salim Saleh has already finalized with plans to see Kabushenga packing.
According to Mulengera news, an online news website, Gen Saleh is in the middle of plans to merge Vision Group with Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) and Uganda Publishing & Printing Corporation (UPPC) in Entebbe thus forming a very big media conglomerate under government ownership.
It is reportedly that after formation, the media conglomerate will operate under a new structure which means most bosses including Kabushenga will have to lose their top positions.
“This is part of the broader strategy to rationalize operations of government parastatals, agencies and thereby eliminate duplicity of roles and wastage of resources. The report, recommending this merger, was authored by a team of 12 eminent citizens that was put together by Gen Saleh closely working with former Minister Henry Banyenzaki,”as quoted from Mulengera news.
