Fortunately, the boda boda rider who was transporting her did all his best to save her from the unidentified criminals.

However, on reaching Nsambya Railway Police, Mariam was informed that her husband was transferred to Nalufenya Detention Centre on the previous night.

Kirumira was arrested on Thursday from his home in Bulenga and he was taken to Naguru Police Court to answer to his charges which include corruption,  torture, extortion among others.

Below is what Mariam posted on her Facebook wall;

‘Today morning,as I was heading to Railway police where my husband Mwoyo Gwa Gwanga was remanded yesterday to check on him,some goons attacked me while on bodaboda and tried to beat me up that “kuluno tubalina” adding that nako akabuto tuyinza okakuba nekavaamu tuwone bu Kirumira obulala okutulumya omutwe.

Fortunately the boda guy managed to risk his life in order to save mine though I didn’t get your contact but u did a great job thanks.

And on reaching the police station I get the saddest news that my hubby was last night taken to Nalufenya so heartbreaking.

Pray for him.

I request Afande Kaihura to tell your boys to leave us alone.mwatulese netusula mukyangala fearing for our lives as if that was not enough u attack a heavily pregnant woman who is so helpless trying to make ends meet nga omwami mwamubuzizaawo mumbeera embi dala.
