Ruaraka MP Tom Kajwang has been arrested by the Kenya police outside Milimani law courts hours after administering Raila Odinga with presidential oath.
According to hivisasa.com an online news site in Kenya, Kajwang, a second term MP has been taken to the DCI for probe with details about his arrest remaining scanty.
At uhuru Park on Tuesday, Kajwang signed the controversial oath of Raila as Commissioner of Oaths in a ceremony attended by thousands of NASA supporters.
“The government has arrested Tom Kajwang for administering oath to Raila Odinga,” tweeted Nyambega Gisesa, an ODM strategist.
He added: “The state is also pursuing Canadian based lawyer Miguna Miguna for crimes we are yet to know.”
Both Miguna and Kajwang are believed to be architects of the controversial swearing-in of Raila along with lawyer James Orengo.
Raila took oath as People’s President in the absence of his co-principals at a fully packed Uhuru Park.
