The URA Commissioner General, Doris Akol and the Inspector General of Government , Irene Mulyagonja have appended signatures onto the memorandum of understanding between the Uganda Revenue Authority and the Inspectorate of Government this morning.
The MOU signed at the Inspectorate’s headquarters aims at improving information sharing between the two entities in furtherance of a mutually beneficial struggle for improved levels of compliance and integrity in the government.
Mutual technical assistance is a strong pillar of the M.O.U as the organisations build each other’s capacity in light of execution of their respective mandates.
The top leadership of the two entities was well represented at the signing. The MOU signing signals a raised ante in the fight against corruption in Uganda.
