Yesterday some media houses alleged that police in Lira arrested 34 mourners who were going for a burial of a suspected habitual criminal.

However, according to Police Spokesperson Emilian Kayima , the vehicle which was carrying mourners was intercepted and four suspected criminals were apprehended, leaving the rest to proceed for burial.

He says police in Lira arrested the four suspected criminals because they were on the  wanted list of criminals terrorizing the area and are currently detained in Lira CPS.

The arrested include Opio Moses, Okwir Denis, Otema Jimmy and Okwir James.
