Kawempe South Member of Parliament Mubarak Munyagwa has claimed that ruling party MPs in support of lifting the age limit have entered with 17 guns in parliament.
Munyagwa has told the Speaker Rebecca Kadaga that Simeo Nsubuga, the Kasanda South MP earlier today threatened him that they are ready to deal with the opposition since they have 17 guns in the house.
Madam speaker there’s evidence that there are guns in the house, Hon Simeo Nsubuga told me there will be 17 guns in today’s sitting,” alleged Munyagwa.
However, the speaker assured legislators that they are all safe and no one is going to harm them today.
Meanwhile, the Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee chairperson Jacob Oboth Oboth is already presenting a report on the controversial age limit bill.
