CECAFA 2017: Uganda Cranes Already In Kenya To Defend Title

The Uganda Cranes safely arrived  in Kenya (Kakamega) on Saturday evening ahead of the kick off of the 2017 CECAFA Senior challenge cup which officially kicks off on Sunday.

The 30 man Uganda Cranes delegation led by FUFA Executive committee member Chris Kalibbala arrived before 5 pm.

They were checked in the Golf Hotel, same with the Haraambe Stars of Kenya as the hosts prepare for their opening fixture against Rwanda on day one of the 2 weeks tournament.

After a brief rest the team headed to the Kakamega Secondary  school play ground for a brief training session.

Defending and record CECAFA champions Uganda will begin their title defence on Monday against Group B opponents Burundi in Kakamega in the only fixture of the day.

South Sudan and Ethipia are the other teams in the Group.

The Uganda Cranes Final Contingent to Kenya for the CECAFA 2017.

Goalkeepers: Isma Watenga (Vipers SC), Benjamin Ochan (KCCA FC), Tom Ikara (Kirinya Jinja SS)

Others: Wadada Nicholas (Vipers SC), Joseph Nsubuga (Sc Villa Jogoo), Isaac Muleme (KCCA FC), Aggrey Madoi (Police FC), Timothy Awanyi (KCCA FC), Shafiq Bakaki (Vipers SC), Bernard Muwanga (Sc Villa Jogoo), Tom Masiko (Vipers SC), Tadeo Lwanga (Vipers SC), Mutyaba Muzamiru (KCCA FC), Karisa Milton (Vipers SC), Mucureezi Paul (KCCA FC), Allan Kateregga (KCCA FC), Allan Kyambadde (Sc Villa Jogoo), Nelson Senkatuka (Bright Stars FC), Derick Nsibambi (KCCA FC), Hood Kaweesa (Police FC), Saddam Juma (KCCA FC), Daniel Isiagi (Proline FC)
