Probably its high time government spokesperson Ofwono Opondo quit twitter following the recent ruthless responses from users who are always offended by his tweets.
The government mouthpiece has received his latest pitiless response after being caught ‘redhanded’ shamelessly lying to the world through a tweet.
Following the ongoing doctors’ strike led by Uganda Medical Association President Dr Ekwaro Obuku, Ofwono Opondo devised means to fight doctors through framing their ring leader.
He got an old photo of Dr Obuku and he captioned “Here Dr. Obuku Ekwaro heading the ongoing doctors’ strike with Kizza Besigye yesterday”
And guess what? A more informed twitter user identified as The Patriot watered down his claim saying the photo Opondo is using was taken last year after the presidential elections when Besigye was under house arrest.
The Patriot further went on to lash out at Opondo reminding him that he is very sure his (Opondo) fellow underwear thieves will visit him if he gets arrested like Drs visited their own during difficult times.
