Six games into the 2016/2017 Azam Uganda Premier League season, Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) captain Denis Okot has called for calmness.

KCCA FC have two wins and four draws collecting nine points and they are the only side yet to lose a game, they are two points behind log leaders Kirinya Jinja SS.

“It’s still early stages, there is no reason for panic, the league can’t be decided this early, although I accept we must get our act together early enough,”

With eight goals scored and just three conceded, KCCA FC have the best joint record with Police FC, with three clean sheets in the first six games.

“That’s a good run if you asked me, and we can build on it in our quest for better results,” Okot said before adding.

“We are starting to be solid in defense and goal, the midfielders are creating chances, and we just need to support our strikers they will eventually start to bang in the goals,”

Last season KCCA FC registered just four clean sheets in the 15 games of the first round, a record the side is ready to beat early enough.

KCCA FC’s next game in the league will be against SC Villa on October 28th, 2017 at Masaka Recreation Ground
