President Yoweri Museveni on Friday evening admitted being the ‘invisible force’ behind age limit removal.
While addressing the NRM caucus at parliament, Museveni told pro age limit removal MPs that he is behind the proposed constitutional amendment aimed at scrapping the age limit thus enabling him stand for president in 2021 even after clocking 75 years of age.
In the same meeting he asked NRM MPs who don’t support the amendment to raise their hands so that he can see who is against him and no one did.
However, the president cautioned MPs not to give money to people while conducting consultations.
The controversial bill is being moved by Igara West MP Raphael Magyezi.
