Cabinet on Friday gave a go ahead to Igara County Member of Parliament Raphael Magezi to move a private members bill before parliament to amend article 102b of the constitution aimed at lifting the age limit.
On Tuesday, 245 NRM MPs passed a motion to table the private members bill.
“Cabinet accordingly advised the government Chief Whip to advise the member wishing to table the private members bill to follow the established legislative procedure in accordance with law,” stated Frank Tumwebaze, Minister for ICT and National Guidance.
