Earlier today President Yoweri Museveni suspended his nationwide radio talk shows where he has been sensitizing people all over Uganda about land related issues.
He started the campaign on Monday and by the time he called off shows in Kampala, Mubende, Jinja and Masaka, Museveni had already interacted with people in several parts of western Uganda.
Now, former presidential candidate for Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Dr. Kizza Besigye has copied leaf from Museveni’s strategy to use radio shows to reach out to Ugandans through countrywide tour.
However, through the radio talk shows, Besigye is going to diffuse what Museveni has been telling the people on the land bill and other issues of National Importance.
According to a statement posted on social media by Besigye’s Personal Assistant Ronald Muhinda, he (Besigye) is slated to appear on Kabale based Voice of Kigezi today (Friday) evening between 9 – 11pm to address the nation on issues of national importance and the land bill inclusive.
“President Kizza Besigye will be hosted on Voice of Kigezi (VoK) today from 9-11pm to talk about national issues. The proposed Land Amendment is of greater concern. Tune in if you can. Unpacking the lies??” Muhinda’s statement read.
