The Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Gen Kale Kayihura has appointed AIGP Abas Byakagaba as the new Director in Charge of Human Resource.
The position became vacant following the assassination of AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi who also served as the police spokesperson.
Byakagaba has been the commandant Senior Police Staff College in Bwebajja, Entebbe road.
Other appointees include AIGP Haruna Isabirye who has been in charge of the Anti-Stock Unit as Director Welfare and Production to replace AIGP Elizabeth Muwanga who retired recently.
AIGP Andrew Sorowen, who has been in charge of Special Duties has been appointed as the police Sports Liason officer with the Ministry of Education and Sports.
Moses Kafeero who has now been appointed as commandant Senior Police Staff College in Bwebajja and Fenny Kyomukama from Field Force Unit has been appointed commander Anti Stock Unit whereas EmmanuelMukama who has been on a foreign mission in Somalia has been transferred to VIPPU.
