Kansanga based Kampala international University (KIU) has placed a great premium on research that aims at benefiting the society.
Speaking to the press this afternoon, the Vice chancellor of KIU Dr Mohammed Mpezamihigo said that there is renewed interest in formation of research groups at departmental levels.
The aimed areas of interest involve smart language translation, renewable energy, organic therapies in livestock production and many more.
Abel Kitaka ,a student of KIU as well as one of the beneficiary says that he is happy for the opportunity given to him.
“I am so happy for this practice and greatly thank Carlos III De Madrid University as well as KIU” Said Kitaka.
In this project, partners from Carlos III De Madrid University provided a full week of research to KIU students and staff to participate.
On the same day the Vice chancellor launched the career advisory center that will be supported by students and KIU staff.
It is on this note that the vice chancellor welcomed all companies that are ready to come and give relevant skills to the students.
“We are inviting our students and staff to embrace this since it gives a good platform for the students.” Said Mpezamihigo
Dr Mpezamihigo advised the students to always visit this center since it’s the only way of preparing students that are about to graduate.
“Technology has availed information everywhere but the challenge is getting the right information” Said Mpezamihigo.
KIU visualizes on making massive investment in infrastructure and staff development.
