Forum for Democratic Change (FDC)’s Apollo Kantinti is among the five candidates contesting for Kyadondo East parliamentary seat, a position which was declared vacant in April after the Court of Appeal upheld  the lower court decision that nullified election as the area MP.

Here are some of the things you didn’t know about him;

1.Apollo Kantinti is happily married with former Maisha dancer Shamim Namawa who was known for her semi-nude enticing outfits though now days she is a changed woman who now wears decent clothes, not forgetting her new found style of putting on a gomesi. In this campaigning period, Kantinti always moves with his beloved wife as a source of strength.

2.Kantinti who was kicked out parliament recently, spent only one year on the legislative assembly thus becoming the 13th MP in the 10th parliament to be thrown out parliament over election irregularities.

3.The Kyadondo East parliamentary seat contestant some years back lived in America for some good time before relocating to Uganda.

4.Still in April, 2017, Kantinti was dragged to court by a married couple after involving them in a dubious land deal. Jonas and Odette Tumwesigye dragged Kantinti to court for allegedly selling to them a 10 acre land in Kabubbu Gayaza with a ‘forged’ land title in 2014. The case is still underway.

5.Early this month, documents showing that Kantinti is a voter of Mukono Municipality but not Kyadondo East emerged online. These documents sparked mixed reactions among Ugandans; some alleging that they were forged from Nasser road whereas others saying that they were genuine.
