Yesterday Dr. Kizza Besigye went to Katakwi district in Toroma County and on arrival a jubilant police officer saluted him while putting on a wide smile.
On seeing the retired colonel, the police officer was so excited and ran out of actions, what was only left in his mind was to salute the former presidential candidate as a sign of respect.
Though on several occasions, the police force has been a centre of torture against Besigye but to some extent there are some officers who are always touched by Besigye’s actions and inspirations.
After the huge salute, many social media users lauded the policeman who is action citing that he is one of a kind in the force.
Some went ahead to insinuate that the officer knew who the real ‘president’ is and that is why he respected the ex-army officer that way.
