Former Forum for Democratic Change(FDC) presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye has blasted President Yoweri Museveni for saying he is not Uganda’s servant yet he is facilitated using tax payers money.
While addressing Journalists today morning, Besigye asserted that Museveni eats Ugandans’ food, drive their cars and also sleeps in their house but he wonders why he still maintains the arrogance to say he is not their servant.
“Me being president when people have no ‘will’ will not change anything. Mr Museveni eats our food, drives our cars, sleeps in our house and he still has the arrogance to say he is not our servant,” said Besigye.
He has also condemned government for the ongoing rampant hunger which has taken over almost every part of the country. He says citizens have now become beggars because of the deteriorating regime which does not care about the welfare of its people.
“Citizens are now beggars. They are saying ‘Tusaba Gavumenti Etuyambe’. We don’t have security of what we produce. People in Ankole are also not doing well. Before we distributed food there, six people had been buried because of hunger,” Besigye stated.
“The only crisis we’ve in this country is the regime itself. A regime of over 30 years doesn’t even have a food reserve. Instead of investing in agriculture, they’re busy investing in building State House and filling it with brown envelopes,” He added.
