Recently Gulu District Council resolved to remove the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) from office over folded allegations.
Dorothy Ajwang Magola was wrongly interdicted from her office as the CAO in February this year.
Through her lawyers M.Mugimba and Co. Advocates Magola has now threatened to sue the district council unless they pay her shs600 million for damages caused and legal fees.
“Be informed that your purported exercise of that authority is illegal and not vested in you and consequently violated our clients right enshrined under the constitution of Uganda,1995 and the local government act law of Uganda for which you will be held personally liable and prosecuted for your action which has occasioned loss and damages to our client,” Notice partly read.
“We therefore advise you to retract through all forms of media available in Uganda the illegal directives purporting to have removed our client from office and make a written apology to our client therein and pay to our client UGX500,000,000 for injury caused to her plus our legal fee costs of UGX100,000,000 within four days from the date of receipt of this notice,”Notice further stated.
