The Cabinet Minister for Trade, Industry and Cooperatives Amelia Kyambadde has finally revealed why she had to resign from State House where she worked as the Principal Private Secretary (PPS).
Kyambadde voluntarily resigned from her position in 2010 after serving for almost 30 years but the reason for her resignation wasn’t clear until now when she revealed the real reason behind it.
While appearing on NBS TV’s Faceoff show on Sunday Kyambadde pulled the cat out the bag when she said she had to leave her State House job because the ‘sons or sons in law’ had became a pain in her throat.
According to the minister, the sons had all the powers and command in that she couldn’t compete with them.
“Family was one of the reasons I left. If one of the sons or sons in law is bringing in a businessman you can’t stop them” Kyambadde revealed.
“You are just a worker. There were too many power centres around. I couldn’t continue,” she added.
