The oldest political party in Uganda,Democratic Party (DP) is to have an executive meeting comprised of the legal committee tomorrow to find a way in which to intervene and help vendors who were evicted from Nakivubo park yard Market.
According to DP, it’s looking forward to root ways of helping the 15,000 vendors who were evicted from the now defunct Park Yard market.
Park Yard market was demolished yesterday on Monday even without the expiration of the 30 day ultimatum which was given to vendors to vacate the premises by the Minster in charge of Kampala, Beti Kamya.
The minister said the land in contention belongs to the Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium which was given out for redevelopment.
