At least six youth have been arrested by Entebbe police crime intelligence unit for indulging in cyber theft.
The six who include Sekatuka Mohamed, Ayub Mugambe, Kalema Joram, Twaib Kimera, Namuyomba Phiona and Ronald Kakeeto were arrested last evening in Makindye Nkeere zone, a Kampala suburb.
Police officials while addressing press said, “These people call people on different telecom companies like Airtel, MTN or Orange and they tell you that you have won a car and start requesting you for money so as they can clear taxes for the car at URA.”
Last week the suspects tricked a woman, one Mukazi Venessa and conned her of shs3.5 million.
